As of yet, there is Minitab Express requires Mac OS X 10.8.0 or higher. The files will not install on anything lower. Minitab 18 files can't be read by Minitab Express. Download Instructions • Select Get Minitab Express 1.5.1.0 & license (expires July 31, 2019) • Download the Minitab Express 1.5.1.0 • Download the license file (minitab.lic) to /Library/Application Support/Minitab/Minitab Express • From Applications, launch Minitab Express. When prompted to specify the License Server System or specify a license file, select Specify the License File • Browse to and select minitab.lic. • Click OK to launch Minitab. This limited version for the PC is only for instructors who need to help their students who have MACs and can only use Minitab Express. If you have a PC, please download the full version (above). How to Install Using the Enterprise License File • Save the attached license file (minitab.lic) to the same folder as the Minitab Express installer and double-click the Minitab Express installer How to Replace the Enterprise License File • Copy the attached license file to the directory where Minitab is installed (Default: C: Program Files(x86) Minitab) • Launch Minitab Express. Software Activation. Enter your Installation ID, Product Key, and email address below. You can find your Installation ID in your Minitab product when you manually. Minitab Express has the statistics you need for introductory courses, including Probability Distributions, Summary Statistics, Hypothesis Tests, Resampling, Regression, ANOVA, Time Series, and Control Charts. It is available for both Mac and PC, allowing you to share files across platforms. When prompted to enter the Specify the License Server System or Specify the License File a file, select Specify the License File. • Browse to and select minitab.lic. • Click OK to launch Minitab. Note All the solutions below require that you follow the system requirements for your desktop product:,, or Quality Companion. Apple Boot Camp is a product from Apple that allows you to install and dual-boot your Intel-based Mac in OS X or Windows. The advantage of using Boot Camp is that Windows runs natively, which reduces the likelihood of technical issues. With this solution, you must reboot solely in OS X or Windows. You cannot use OS X and Windows at the same time. Boot Camp is included for free with Mac OS X Leopard (v10.5) or higher. If you plan to install Windows 7, it is recommended that you use the Boot Camp software included with Snow Leopard (v10.6) or above. Desktop virtualization software Desktop virtualization software allows you to install and use Windows on your Intel-based Mac without requiring a reboot. This allows you to be in OS X and Windows at the same time. Mac virtualization software is available from industry leaders such as VMware (), Parallels (), and Oracle (). Note Minitab products have not been rigorously tested in either Apple Boot Camp or desktop virtualization software, and assistance from Minitab Technical Support is limited. Before purchasing a Minitab product, it is strongly recommended that you download the trial version of the software to test in your environment. Using the trial software on a virtual computer To use the trial version in a virtual environment, you must contact Minitab Technical Support for a 30-day product key to activate the software.
